Terms of service
The short version
- Klyrova is in early access and provided as it is. Anyone can create a free account; paid plans add room. Features and limits can change while we build it.
- Only connect databases and upload files you're allowed to. Klyrova only reads, but use a login that can only read, too.
- AI chats run on Klyrova credit, charged at each model's price as you go (you start with $5), or on your own AI provider key, which that provider bills directly.
- AI answers can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
- Your data stays yours. We use it only to run Klyrova for you, as the privacy policy describes.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Klyrova (klyrova.app) is operated by Rohith Muddaraboina in the United Kingdom ("Klyrova", "we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between us and you when you request access to, sign up for, or use Klyrova. By creating an account or using Klyrova you accept them. If you use Klyrova on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
You must be at least 16, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
2. Accounts and plans
- Anyone can create an account with an email address they control — we send a confirmation link and the account opens when it is used — or with a Google account. Every new account starts on the Free plan. An invitation sent to a specific address is for that address only.
- Using Klyrova during early access is free; AI chats are paid for with Klyrova credit or on your own key (section 6). Each account has a plan with limits (for example on dashboards, data sources, file storage and refresh frequency), shown in Settings. We may change plans and limits; lowering one never deletes anything you've already made, though it can stop you adding more or make a dashboard refresh less often.
- Nothing is charged to you unless you choose a paid plan and agree to its price. Buying Klyrova credit is always your choice.
Paid plans
Settings and the pricing page show each paid plan, its limits and its price in US dollars, monthly or yearly (the yearly price is ten months' worth). Choosing one starts a subscription with Stripe:
- Starting. You ask us to start the plan straight away. Its limits and any included Klyrova credits apply as soon as Stripe confirms the first payment.
- Renewing. The plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment.
- Changing and cancelling. You can change or cancel from Settings → Plan → Manage billing at any time. Moving up to a bigger plan applies straight away: Stripe charges only the difference for the rest of the period you've paid for, and the included credits for that period grow by the difference between the two plans. Moving down to a smaller plan, or from yearly to monthly, starts at the end of the period you've paid for; until then your current plan continues. A cancelled plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing you've made is removed when you move to a smaller plan or to Free: what is over the new limits stays, you just can't add more, and scheduled refreshes run at the new plan's fastest cadence.
- Your 14-day right. Because the plan starts immediately at your request, you can cancel within 14 days for a refund of the period less the days you've used; after that, a cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and there is no refund for the rest of it, except where the law says otherwise.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries for about two weeks and emails you; your plan stays meanwhile. If it still fails, your account moves to Free as above.
- Included credits. Klyrova credits included with a plan are added each month, are spent before any credits you buy, expire at the end of that month, and have no cash value.
- Price changes. We give at least 30 days' notice before a plan's price changes, by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.
- Tax. As for credits: in the EU we sell to businesses with a VAT number only, and your business accounts for any VAT due.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away at support@klyrova.app if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Each account is for one person; please don't share it.
4. What Klyrova does
Klyrova lets you connect data sources (databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric, and files you upload), ask an AI agent questions about them, and pin the answers to dashboards as widgets. Each widget stores the query that produced it and refreshes by running that query again, when you ask or on a schedule you set, with no AI model involved.
5. Your data sources
- Only connect databases and services you own or are authorised to access, and only upload files you have the right to use. You're responsible for having whatever permission your employer, client or anyone else requires.
- Klyrova checks every query to make sure it only reads before it runs, and never intentionally changes your data. Even so, you control what the login you give us can do: we strongly recommend a login that can only read, limited to the data you want Klyrova to see.
- Klyrova queries your sources when you chat with the agent, open or refresh a dashboard, and when a dashboard you scheduled refreshes itself, including while you're not signed in. Queries use the credentials you connected; a dashboard you share is refreshed with yours.
- You're responsible for the load your queries and schedules put on your own systems.
6. AI: Klyrova credits or your own key
During a chat, your messages, your sources' structure and the query results the agent needs are sent to an AI provider. You're responsible for making sure that's acceptable for your data. A provider you've added your own key for always uses your key; otherwise the chat runs on Klyrova credits, where they're offered.
Your own key
You can add an API key for OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini. Your use of that provider is between you and it: its terms and policies apply, it bills you for what you use, and Klyrova adds no charge.
Klyrova credits
- What a credit is. Klyrova credits are the unit AI chat is paid in. One credit is worth one US cent of Klyrova's price: 100 credits are $1. On credits, Klyrova runs the model through its own account with the provider and spends your credits for each chat at that model's rate, shown in Settings as credits per 1,000 tokens in and out. Our rate for a model is the provider's list price for the tokens used, plus the UK VAT we pay on it, plus a 15% margin. Rates can change (the providers change theirs); a chat is charged at the rate when it runs, and we give notice of a rate change as section 15 describes. Credits have no cash value outside Klyrova and can't be transferred.
- Starter credits. Early access accounts start with 500 credits. They can't be refunded, and end when early access ends.
- Buying credits. You can buy credits in set packs (for example 1,000 credits for $10; the packs and their prices are shown before you pay), paid through Stripe; they're added once Stripe confirms the payment. Bought credits don't expire during early access; if we ever introduce an expiry, it will apply only to credits bought after we've given you the notice these terms provide for changes.
- Running out. A chat already running when your balance reaches zero is finished and charged, which can leave a small negative balance that your next purchase covers. Your dashboards keep refreshing either way; that never uses a model.
- Cancelling and refunds. When you buy credits you ask us to make them available straight away, and you agree that your right to cancel ends once you start using them. You can still ask for a refund of a pack you haven't used at all within 14 days of buying it. Otherwise bought credits aren't refundable, except where the law says it must be or where we end your access without you having broken these terms, in which case we refund bought credit you haven't used.
- Tax. Pack prices are what you pay; we add tax only where the law requires and show it before you pay. In the European Union we sell credits to businesses only, with a valid VAT number, and your business accounts for any VAT due.
7. Sharing
When you share a dashboard, the people you share it with see live results from your sources. People you make editors can also ask the agent to change the dashboard, querying only the sources you allow in the share settings, on their own AI key or their own Klyrova credit. Share only with people who are allowed to see that data. You can change or remove a share at any time.
8. Your content
You keep all rights to your data, your files, and what you create in Klyrova. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide Klyrova to you and the people you share with, and to keep the service secure, as the privacy policy describes. We don't sell your data or use it to train AI models.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use Klyrova to:
- break the law, or someone else's rights, including their privacy and intellectual property;
- connect to systems you're not authorised to access, or try to get into anyone else's account or data;
- probe, scan or test Klyrova's security, or get around its read-only checks, limits or access controls (if you find a vulnerability, tell us at support@klyrova.app);
- upload malware, or anything you know to be unlawful;
- overload or disrupt Klyrova, including with automated traffic beyond normal use;
- copy, resell, or build a competing service from Klyrova, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
10. AI output
The agent's answers, queries and visuals are generated by an AI model and can be incomplete or wrong, even when they're based on real query results. They aren't professional, financial or legal advice. Check anything important against your data before you rely on it or act on it.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Klyrova available and secure, but during early access it's provided "as is", without guarantees of uptime or that it will be error-free, and we may change, add or remove features. We may occasionally need to take it offline for maintenance. If we decide to shut Klyrova down, we'll give account holders reasonable notice by email where we can.
12. Suspension and ending your account
- You can stop using Klyrova at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@klyrova.app from the address you signed up with.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts Klyrova or other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to put things right first.
- We may also end early access for any account with reasonable notice. If we close your account or end your access without you having broken these terms, we refund bought Klyrova credit you haven't used.
13. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Otherwise, and as far as the law allows: we aren't liable for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or data; and our total liability to you for anything arising from Klyrova is limited to the greater of £100 or the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Klyrova is a work tool meant for business use; if you use it as a consumer, you also have the rights consumer law gives you, and these terms don't take those away.
Keep your source data in your own systems: Klyrova reads from them and isn't a backup of them.
14. Our intellectual property
Klyrova, its software, design and brand belong to us. While you have access, you may use Klyrova for your own work under these terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Klyrova develops. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using Klyrova after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using it and ask us to delete your account.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Before going that far, please write to us; most things can be sorted out quickly.
